Instead\, please join the Kids for Kids Founder and Trustees for a special “Ambassadors’ Non-Ball” via Zoom. \n“Do bring a bottle and let’s have some fun\, toast all that Kids for Kids has been able to do over the past year\, and we will tell you about our visit to Darfur.  Yes\, we were able to go at last\, after 9 long years: how we met my ‘little’ 9 year old\, Ibrahim\, who inspired me to set up Kids for Kids – not so little any more\, and what we learnt about the amazing opportunities under the new government in Sudan\, and all the challenges. I need your help and advice on what we are doing to stop the spread of COVID-19 in our remote villages in Darfur. \nOf course this is a chance to dress up!  Please put on your best Ball gown\, gentlemen I am sure you have black tie or something suitable too – and let’s Have a Ball\, albeit this year online.” \nWe look forward to seeing you on Saturday!  Please do invite friends and family\, including those in other countries and those who might not be able to come in other circumstances. DESCRIPTION:Join us for our 19th Annual Candlelit Christmas Concert on Thursday 5th December 2019! Once again our Candlelit Concert will be held at St Peter’s Church in Eaton Square\, London.  This is the perfect start to the Christmas season – Carols by Candlelight.   Hosted this year by the fabulous Joanna Lumley OBE. \n\nIt is a star studded evening\, not just our Patron Joanna Lumley OBE\, but Readers include Miriam Margolyes OBE plus Patrons Timothy West CBE\, and The Lord Cope of Berkeley PC.  We are also delighted that Thames Fanfare Brass will once again be raising the roof.  What would a Christmas Concert be without a Trumpet Fanfare?!  The angelic voices of the Queen’s Gate School Choirs will fill the church with gorgeous songs and there will\, of course\, be plenty of favourite Christmas Carols too for you to join in! SUMMARY:Fishing for Goats!  Executive Fly Fishing Day 2019 - NOW SOLD OUT
DESCRIPTION:Executive Fly Fishing Day – Saturday 12th October 2019 – Now sold out! \nThis year’s Annual Kids for Kids Executive Fly Fishing Day will take place at Park Lake\, Albury\, and we are delighted that Eddie and Daniella Lawson are this year’s sponsors.   This means that every penny from ticket donations will go to Darfur to help children.   We really are fishing for goats – goats that will give their valuable milk for children who are hungry.  Park Lake is utterly beautiful\, and ours for the day.    The secluded lake will be stocked with rainbow trout and if you have never tasted trout straight from the water to your plate than you have no idea how delicious it is!   Of course\, you will have to catch it first! \nPlaces for the Full Day and Half-day (AM or PM) sessions are no longer available.   We apologise that we cannot fit any more in – but we like to ensure everyone has sufficient space on the banks to enjoy themselves.  Do book early next year please. DESCRIPTION:Friends of Kids for Kids are invited to hear the latest news from Darfur from our Founder Patricia Parker MBE\, with the opportunity for questions afterwards\, at a Friends’ Event being held in Patricia’s home in Dorking on Saturday 11th August – Kids for Kids Friends Event Invitation. \nGuest of Honour will be Chris Trott\, the Foreign Office Special Representative for Sudan and South Sudan\, who has kindly agreed to bring us up to date with Government policy and the latest news from the region. \nOur Friends’ Event is a special occasion to hear exactly how we manage to work in one of the most inaccessible and deprived regions in the world\, and to ask as many questions as you would like.    Patricia says “In fact I have never heard of another charity being so open about all it does.   I am passionate about our supporters – and indeed anyone thinking of supporting us – knowing as much as possible about how we spend their donations.” \nWe hope you can join us for this special event to hear about our projects in Darfur and how we are changing children’s lives long term.   Our wonderful volunteers from our Surrey Group will be providing supper and as some people come from quite a distance do please come as near to 6.30p.m. as you can.   There will also be an opportunity this year to see (and perhaps buy) works of art by Patricia Parker and Robin Radclyffe which are in the Art Exhibition which is being held over the same weekend – please take a look at details for the weekend events here. \nPlease email patricia@kidsforkids.org.uk or call 07957206440 to confirm your free place.  Donations will of course be welcome\, but are not obligatory!   This is an event for you.

DESCRIPTION:Royal Academician Professor Ken Howard OBE arguably this country’s best loved artist\, has invited his friends to join him in an Auction to help raise awareness of the plight of the children living in remote villages in Darfur.   The artists taking part are all either Royal Academicians\, members of the Royal Watercolour Society or members of the New English Art Club and are amongst the most celebrated artists in this country.    Ken Howard & Friends – the Auction will be held on Thursday 26th October 2017 at the John Bly Gallery\, King’s Road\, London.
