CHEAM SCHOOL pupil – an example to us all
Flora, age 5, a pupil at Cheam School, generously donated her winning prize from a competition which she won over Christmas, to Kids for Kids. Flora had been so taken with the plight of the children in Darfur, following a visit by our Founder Patricia Parker, that she took it upon herself to do something more. She sent her £100 prize money to help children her age. “This was an extraordinary thing to do” said Patricia. “How easy it would have been for little Flora to buy something she had wanted for herself, but instead of that, she sent her prize to help children living thousands of miles away in a remote village in Darfur. What a lovely way to start the year. Flora is setting us all an example.” We were touched too to receive a beautifully written letter from Flora with drawings of some of the things she loves best – her chickens, flowers, being with Mummy and horse riding. Magical Candlelit Christmas Concert 2017 – SOLD OUT!
Candlelit Christmas Concert – Thursday 30th November 2017 This event is now SOLD OUT! Please do join JULIE ETCHINGHAM, Patron of Kids for Kids who is host for our magical Candlelit Christmas Concert at St Peter’s, Eaton Square, London. Celebrity Readers include the wonderful JOANNA LUMLEY and LORD COPE, who are also Patrons of Kids for Kids, plus our beloved TIMOTHY WEST who is a very special friend and the amazing MIRIAM MARGOLYES! It is the perfect start to the Christmas season – Christmas as we all love it. We have had to book it early this year because Queen’s Gate School breaks up the following week so please put the date in your diary now. It is the voices of those lovely children that make the evening so memorable. We are delighted that the Thames Fanfare Brass will once again be raising the roof. Fishing for Goats! Executive Fly Fishing Day 2017

We are delighted to announce that our Annual Kids for Kids Executive Fly Fishing Day will take place at Vale End Lake, Albury Estate Fisheries, Albury. Places for the AM and All Day sessions are now SOLD OUT, but you can still join us for the PM session. All sessions enjoy tuition (if needed), fishing, and delicious refreshments.

Have you an hour to spare?
Please can you help us on Friday 23rd June – and help us give children goat’s milk so that lack of protein does not damage their health irrevocably. This year we are again holding our annual street collection in Dorking. Every year, the local community is hugely supportive of Kids for Kids but we need help – just one hour of your time would make such a difference! Every hour donated, every penny raised, provides much needed funds for Darfur. All you need is enthusiasm and a big smile. Volunteering slots are available all day, so any time that suits you would suit us. Why not bring a friend or family member to make a fun day of it? The more the merrier – and the more raised for Kids for Kids! Softstar Shoes transforms off-cuts into cat toys
