Joanna Lumley and Friends to Double Donations this December

Right up to New Year’s Eve donations to Kids for Kids will be doubled by Dame Joanna Lumley DBE FRGS and special friends who have once again pledged to double every donation for emergency aid for children starving in Darfur, Sudan.

With £34,500 in matching funds available, your generosity can make twice the difference. With your help we can turn £34,500 into an incredible £69,000.

Kids for Kids is the only organisation helping families living in remote villages in Darfur.

Urgent Help Needed: Children Face Starvation This Christmas

This Christmas, children in Darfur, Sudan, are facing an unimaginable crisis. The war they did not choose has left them hungry, thirsty, and terrified. The UN has called Sudan ‘the worst humanitarian crisis in the world’. Famine was declared in parts of Darfur in August – yet the world remains silent. Over 26 million people face acute hunger, with over 3.7 million children under five suffering from malnutrition, according to UN figures. Children are suffering and will die from starvation without our help.

Kids for Kids is determined to reach as many children as possible, through our dedicated volunteers. £25 provides a Kids Kitchen Kit giving urgently needed food to families with children 5 and under. Sacks of Seeds costs just £15 for food now and to plant next year.

Donate for one Kids Kitchen Kit, and we’ll deliver two. Give for one sack of Emergency Seeds, and two sacks will reach struggling families in Darfur. But hurry—matching funds are only available until the end of December.
