This remarkable total means that 3,316 families with children aged five and under will now receive one of our Kids Kitchen Kits – life-saving support for some of the most vulnerable children in Darfur.
In the remote villages we support, families are facing desperate conditions. Ongoing conflict, displacement and severe shortages of food have pushed communities to the brink. Many families survive on just one meagre meal a day – if that. Clean water is scarce, basic medicines are often unavailable, and parents are forced to make impossible choices about how to feed their children.
For babies and young children, the consequences are devastating. Malnutrition weakens immune systems, leaving children dangerously vulnerable to illness and disease. Our Kids Kitchen Kits are designed to meet this urgent need. Each kit provides essential protein and nutritious food. For children under five, this support can mean the difference between malnutrition and survival.
Thanks to the success of this campaign, thousands of families will now have a vital lifeline – hope, dignity and the ability to care for their youngest children during the most critical years of their lives.
