Weaving International Fashion – National Dress Catwalk

11 May @ 5:30 pm - 10:00 pm

The Young Diplomats in London (YDL) in association with the Embassy of the State of Kuwait in London proudly presents a charity event titled “Weaving International Fashion – National Dress Catwalk” on Saturday 11th May 2024 at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea Town Hall in London. Cllr Preety Hudd, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Cllr Dori Schmetterling, Deputy Mayor both will be our guests of honour.

In our ever more interconnected world, it is critical to cherish and preserve our cultural heritage. London, a melting pot of cultures, finds its vibrant heart in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, home to many embassies and ambassadorial residences.

This captivating fashion show celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of our community, showcasing the artistry and storytelling woven into the national dress of various countries. Each ensemble serves as a window into a nation’s heritage, fostering understanding and appreciation between our diplomatic and local communities.

Brought to you by the co-producer of the Mongolian theatrical sensation, “The Mongol Khan”, Mrs. Unurmaa Janchiv, and an award-winning fashion director from Nigeria, Mr. Taiwo Meghoma.
