Give a gift that can really make a difference this Christmas

With hundreds of thousands of children on the brink of starvation in Darfur, Sudan, it is impossible to comprehend what the future holds. Famine was declared in parts of Darfur in August – yet the world remains silent. This is your chance to bring the spirit of Christmas – compassion, kindness, and generosity – to children in Darfur.

Our Emergency Kids for Kids Christmas Appeal is supporting families with basic essentials including seed and Kids Kitchen Kits.

Through Kids for Kids, you can purchase Gift Certificates for friends and family that will provide essential items for children in Darfur, Sudan, who are living through the world’s most forgotten humanitarian crisis. The war has already killed tens of thousands of people and has also created the world’s largest displacement and hunger crises. The United Nations reports that more than 10 million people have been forced from their homes and displaced within Sudan, and another 2 million have fled to neighbouring countries. Half of those who remain face crisis levels of hunger.

How does it work?

Select the gifts that you want to provide and in return we will create a beautiful Gift Certificate that can be tailored to each recipient. They can either receive the Gift Certificate digitally or it can be printed and sent out on your behalf.

Kids Kitchen Kit

Our Kids Kitchen Kits provide families with children aged 5 and under with fresh produce – lentils, beans, cooking oil – to provide vital protein, minerals and vitamins which have been dangerously lacking in children’s diets all year.

One Kids Kitchen Kit costs just £25

Buy a family a goat

Goats provide enough nutrients and protein through their milk to save a 5-year-old child from starving. Giving families a goat will give them the means to survive.

A goat costs £50

Emergency seed for food and planting

Food is scarce and inflation is out of control. The families we support are subsistence farmers, living off whatever they can grow from the land. Crops have not been planted due to the violence, and after a failed crop last year, families were already malnourished before the start of the conflict. A sack of seed gives family hope, a simple meal that will sustain them, so children don’t go to bed hungry.   What will you eat this Christmas?

A sack of seed costs £15
