This year GivingTuesday took place on 2nd December. GlobalGiving once again held their annual campaign, boosting your donations for free. Over a 36-hour period, one donation per person went even further to help children in Darfur. As a result of your generosity, this was the best GivingTuesday ever for Kids for Kids. Thank you for raising a fantastic $16,323 to provide food urgently for children facing starvation.
Over 36 hours 60 people came together to donate $14,024 (£10,478). On its own this amount will give 412 families with children five and under each a Kids Kitchen Kit. These Kits include Lentils, Pulses, Groundnuts and Cooking Oil – key ingredients to strengthen children’s bones, teeth and immune systems. But that’s not all. By donating on this one specific day you unlocked free donations. $2,298 (£1,717) was provided by GlobalGiving – enough for an additional 68 Kids Kitchen Kits. Malnourished children will have food because of your support. 480 Kids Kitchen Kits will be delivered thanks to you. Children will be fed and lives will be saved.
