With appalling violence across the country your support is needed now more than ever. Millions have fled but the children and their families who remain in remote villages are in urgent need of our help.
All donations this December – up to £27,500 will be doubled – a whopping £55,000 to help children facing starvation right now.
For just £50, you can buy a goat for a child providing protein-rich milk – the only source of protein, minerals and vitamins for countless children. Food has never been so scarce. Your donation of one goat will be immediately doubled – two goats!
For £15, you can give the gift of seeds to a family that has no other source of food. There are no markets in many areas – it is just too dangerous. The price of any food available has shot up by up to 500%. How could any of us feed our children?
And for £18, you can provide two mosquito nets to protect children from swarms of deadly mosquitoes that have hatched from untreated ground water from heavy rains. Malaria is still the biggest killer in Africa, children especially are suffering. Hundreds of cases have been reported daily and access to medicine is near impossible.
Millions of people have been displaced from their homes and have lost access to basic necessities including food water, and shelter. Children are particularly vulnerable in Darfur. They are more likely to die from malnutrition and disease than adults.
