In Loving Memory of Our Patron, Timothy West CBE

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Patron, Timothy West CBE. Timothy’s commitment to Kids for Kids has been unwavering, bringing hope, compassion, and essential support to countless children in Darfur, Sudan. His kindness and dedication inspired all who had the privilege to work alongside him.

As a renowned actor, Timothy’s contributions extended far beyond his professional achievements. Timothy’s generosity and compassion had no bounds, supporting a number of charities, including Kids for Kids. We had the privilege of having Timothy as a Reader at our annual Candlelit Christmas Concert for many years, where he would mesmerise audiences.   He would choose his own Readings, many of which were personal favourites.  He first supported Kids for Kids at the invitation of his beloved wife Prunella, who suggested he should perform with her.   They have been special friends, coming together to our annual concert every year ever since. 

Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Timothy’s family, friends, and all who knew him.

Thank you, Timothy, for your boundless compassion and for inspiring us all. Your spirit will forever live on in the lives you have touched.   Our thoughts are with your beloved wife Prunella and your three children Juliet, Samuel and Joseph and your seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

We are all going to miss you so much.
