Over a 24 hour period from Wednesday 16th July through Thursday 17th July, GlobalGiving ran their Annual July Bonus Day. On this day, GlobalGiving awarded donations to our Emergency Appeal with a Boost of Free additional funds when supporters donated between $100 – $1,000. The more you donated, the more GlobalGiving donated in Bonus Funds! And WOW did you all come through with the donations…
We are completely blown away by the immense generosity of our supporters, with 53 people coming together to donate a phenomenal $10,137 (£7,522) in just 24 hours. This amount alone is enough to provide 301 Children with Kids Kitchen Kits – Emergency Food Packs full of Lentils, Pulses, Groundnuts and Cooking Oil. This pack of essential protein and nutrients is a lifeline in a time of conflict and severe food insecurity that plagues Darfur. Your donations unlocked $1,293 (£959) in Free Bonus Funds from GlobalGiving, which resulted in a total of 340 Kids Kitchen Kits for families with children aged five and under facing starvation.

And to top off this news, we are delighted that GlobalGiving is providing a Grant of a further $1,000 (£741) to Kids for Kids for our Emergency Appeal. We are so grateful to be recognised for providing aid to communities that many international organisations are unable to access at this time. Our flexibility and wide volunteer support network makes it possible for us to continue getting essential aid items to children who are struggling to survive. Thank you.
